BEAUTY AND STRENGTH

These paintings explore the orchid as a symbol of both strength and beauty. I wanted to draw the viewer into the intimate details of the flower while allowing its softness, delicacy, and quiet presence to remain. 

The orchid’s strength is not one of force or hardness, but of adaptability — the ability to endure, evolve, and continue to flourish with grace. This quieter kind of strength is the most important to me, and often the kind that isn’t immediately seen. It is the strength to remain grounded and calm through difficult times, to move through challenges with grace, and to bend without breaking.

There is a strength in softness that can be greater than anything outwardly forceful. For me, that is where true beauty and strength meet.
